Summary of Position

Located in Rockville, MD, TechGlobal has over 14 years of past performance in the government sector. TechGlobal is established in both the State & Local Sector as well as the Federal Sector.

TechGlobal is adding a talented VP of BD in order to focus more on growing FEDERAL Sector sales revenue by enhancing the current pipelines and executing the full lifecycle of Government contracting business development.

This is a newly created role based at TechGlobal headquarters in Rockville, Maryland. The TechGlobal VP of BD is an individual producer role who will be supported by one team member and will report to the President/CEO. This role includes a career path for growing a BD/Capture Team and also leading the BD/Capture Team.

The VP of BD focuses on TechGlobal’s current client base and target customer base including NOAA, U.S. Treasury, NPS, USTDA, USACE, and DoD. The VP of BD develops and maintains relationships with industry and target government agencies to increase knowledge of agencies’ mission area needs, IT programs, current systems, and future requirements and exploits TechGlobal’s capabilities to expand our services within our target customer base.

TechGlobal Federal Sector Past Performance

– Experienced prime contractor at NOAA, with two recently awarded IDIQ MATOC contracts and a strong relationship with a large local Federal Contractor with deep experience at NOAA

– With Treasury, TechGlobal has been working for 10 years with their Alcohol and Tobacco tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) on the implementation and maintenance of an online permitting application

– Current Federal contracts with the National Park Service and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, plus a number of past Federal customers

Details of the Role

This is a “do-er” role which involves being the outward face to grow TechGlobal’s Federal Sector. The role involves connecting with customers and  industry at events, site meetings, etc for the purpose of relationship building and ultimately growing TechGlobal with new Federal Sector revenue.

Details of the role include:

– Work with the TechGlobal leadership to create overall company multi-year BD strategy and tactics by refining BD practices and processes for alignment and efficiency of the company’s sales efforts.

– Develop and lead capture plans as well as identify and qualify leads for new business opportunities and initiatives.

– Refine the existing sales pipeline.

– Lead and manage TechGlobal Federal sales as an individual producer.

– Pursue qualified leads with a defined process to increase the percentage of wins.

– Collaborate with TechGlobal’s COO and PMs to identify, develop, and market differentiating mission capabilities and technology solutions appropriate for each of TechGlobal’s target markets.

– Manage business opportunity qualification practices, ensuring TechGlobal credentials match opportunity requirements and developing a thorough understanding of customers’ priorities and competition landscape.

– Mentor business development (BD) assistants.

– Deliver new business and maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers to expand TechGlobal’s customer base.

– Serve as the principal interface with the clients and translate their needs and opportunities to tasks for new and existing TechGlobal efforts.

– Manage capture and proposal activities including functioning as the Capture Manager and/or Proposal Manager on an as-needed basis for strategic pursuits.

– Lead marketing activities, including networking events, industry days, and conferences to meet with customers and potential team partners; grow, maintain and leverage existing networks.

– Manage business opportunity identification practices by aligning opportunities with TechGlobal’s credentials, business, and growth objectives and strategies.

– Analyze and contribute to TechGlobal’s price-to-win strategy.

– Manage the realistic, viable sales pipeline including the necessary components needed to deliver wins.

Demonstrated Experience:

– At least 8 to 10 years of experience with DEMONSTRATED success in capture management and BD environment, including leading capture to win $10M+ opportunities.
– DEMONSTRATED ability to educate and influence Federal customers regarding procurement strategies where TGI is competitive.
– DEMONSTRATED experience with Small Business firms pursuing Federal services contracts.
– DEMONSTRATED ability to identify, qualify and pursue leads.
– DEMONSTRATED ability to work with senior leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace; demonstrated people management skills; excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
– DEMONSTRATED experience and successful record of developing capture plans and teams for new business opportunities.
– DEMONSTRATED sales revenue experience.
– Available to commute to TechGlobal’s Rockville Offices.

Education:

– B.S. degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering, Sciences or related fields,
– MBA or M.S. in technical or management discipline, or equivalent is preferred

Requirements:

– Current US Citizenship  or Currently holding Green Card Holder

– US DoD Security Clearance is preferred, but must be clearable

Top 4 Goals to Accomplish Within 1st 12 Months:

– Develop a plan/process to improve/enhance the current pipeline (within 3 months)

– Develop a plan that establishes a consistent approach to sales (within 4 months)

– Develop and establish Pipeline model achieves revenue growth targets for the current year and over the next 3 years (within 6 months)

– Book at least 5 task orders under TechGlobal existing IDIQ contract vehicles

– Win at least one new contract/ new task order in a Federal agency not currently doing business with TechGlobal

Compensation:

TechGlobal is positioned to reward performance. The target compensation is a combination of a base salary plus a performance-based bonus. An industry competitive bonus will be paid for wins.

– The On-Target base salary range is between $120K-$180K
– The On-Target commission/performance bonus is between $24K-$36K with NO CAP
